From the very outset Sarah was fantastic nothing was to much trouble always there with a cup of tea/coffee, her staff went the
extra mile nothing was to much trouble. For a sad day they made it bearable. Celebrant good did all that we asked.

We used Smith & sons for our Mother's funeral in 2021 and we're really happy with their service from start to finish. Sarah Smith is excellent at organising funerals She is very down to earth and easy to talk to you as well as being empathetic after the loss of a family member. We used Smith & Sons again recently after the passing of our father and had exceptional service again. Both funerals went to plan with everything we requested and more.

My experience dealing with Smith & Sons was one of warmth, reassurance and kindness. Sarah managed the whole process so well, taking the stress out of a very stressful time, keeping in touch regularly and making sure we knew what she needed from us, and when. The funeral went beautifully and I feel that nothing more could have been done to make it a fitting celebration of our late dad and his life. Thank you Sarah and the team.

Recently my mother passed away and I decided to use S Smith & Sons as they had dealt with previous Relatives who had passed. I was so Thankful that I had the pleasure of meeting Sarah. She listened to my request and let me ramble away about this and that I was all over the place. Sarah made a very difficult task easier to deal with. I wasn't the easiest of customers as I kept changing things but nothing was too much trouble. From Flowers to Music to Order of service. Sarah went above and beyond to make sure I was Happy and that my mum had the best send off ever! And she did Thankyou to Lorraine and her Team for making me feel at ease on the day of the Funeral they really do make you feel like one of their own so attentive and respectful with it! Thankyou All

Very respectful and kind. Made great suggestions. However I was often called the wrong name in emails, I had some flowers on the day that were not for my Mum. And my Mum ashes were released incorrectly. The day was organised, Steven was amazing but the admin and behind the scenes needs to be more on the ball.

All the staff are very kind, understanding and compassionate....Very Happy to Leave My Dear Mother....In their Loving Hands of S.Smith who will care and look after her...God Bless You Mum, Love and Miss You So Much and Will Hopefully see You and Dad Soon....Ian, Paul, Ron...Scotland The Brave...!!!

Even though I found the early stages of planning the funeral for my mother incredibly hard, Sarah and the team were very understanding, and even let me arrange things via telephone and email, instead of face to face meetings, which I found overwhelming.

In my initial contact, despite making calls to several funeral homes, not only were S Smith and Sons the only ones to call me back, but Sarah talked me through the next steps that I would need to take, and really helped to guide me through the process.

They also suggested an absolutely wonderful local celebrant, who was invaluable in helping me put together a fantastic, very personalised, and not too serious service (just as my mum had wanted).

On the day of the funeral itself, everyone was friendly, warm, touchingly respectful to my mum’s beautiful wicker casket, and very professional. It’s such a minefield trying to do everything properly and honour the last wishes of a loved one, but I am so very grateful to the team at S Smith and Sons, and I would absolutely recommend them.
